The UK top 10 accountancy firm, Azets, implements Dayshape’s AI-powered resource management software to manage its increasing headcount and supersede resourcing processes from acquisitions into one centralized solution.

Edinburgh, UK, 3rd July 2023 – Dayshape, a software company using AI technology to power professional services planning, welcomes UK top 10 accountancy firm Azets UK as a live customer. The new software investment is supporting the continued transformation of Azets UK, with M&A activity driving its ambitious growth strategy. Moving away from several fragmented processes, Azets UK is utilizing Dayshape to unify its resource management function into a strategic advantage for the firm.

Andrew Bone, CEO and Co-founder of Dayshape, said “We are excited to be working with Azets UK and for the opportunity to support them now and as they continue to grow.

Azets employs more than 3,800 employees across 90 offices in the UK and was previously using a disparate landscape of resourcing tools including Retain, Float, and manual spreadsheets – accumulating to 15 different resourcing processes in total. With Dayshape, Azets UK is gaining huge time efficiencies moving from 15 processes to one.

Specifically, Azets UK is benefitting from Dayshape’s Gantt which has created a national view of resources to offer complete visibility of resourcing options. In addition, Dayshape’s assisted, and on-demand scheduling options ensure task allocation is optimized, based on who is best suited to working on a particular engagement, reducing selection bias and promoting greater inclusion at the firm.

This allows Azets UK to not only consider current skills, certifications, and work experience of resources when allocating work, but also work preferences, utilization rates, and whether the resource has already been given a task on a specific engagement. Together, this suitability criteria provides a powerful metric which enables Azets UK to provide a healthy work-life balance for its people, deliver quality personalized client services, and empower the resourcing team to make more efficient and informed scheduling decisions.

Lindsay Tyler, Head of Audit at Azets UK, said: “Dayshape is helping us centralize our resources and processes into one comprehensive system which is enabling us to continue to scale whilst minimizing disruption internally. Our purpose is to improve the lives of our colleagues, clients, and communities in a sustainable way, and Dayshape is one of the many initiatives helping us to deliver our purpose.”

Azets UK, is also applying Dayshape’s engagement economics functionality to plan, approve, and roll forward resource plans in unison with the engagement budget, and gain real-time financial projections and warnings as engagements progress. This visibility allows client fees to be accurately set, and enables informed, preemptive decisions to keep engagements on track and resource utilization optimized.

With an initial deployment to the firm’s audit service line, Azets UK has plans to roll out Dayshape across all lines of service.

Lindsay Tyler, added: “Everything we do is underpinned by our investments in people and technology. We see Dayshape as the resourcing tool of choice for all of our service lines.”
